APA was created in 2001. Since the beginning of its operation, it aims at a single objective – to make technology more friendly to people. We have started from technological design for industrial automation systems. The main field of operation include support of automobile sector companies and delivery of safe solutions for control systems.
In 2003, the company already had a team of several specialists. VW Poznań was the main customer of our services. However, the company was executing projects also on global markets, e.g. in China. Products developed by our engineers combined the highest standards of technology with extraordinary application solutions.
At the end of 2004 and in early 2005 APA expanded its previous activity with the IT Department and started working on its proprietary building automation system (the smart building system Vision BMS). From that moment onwards, business activity of the company ran in two parallel directions until 2007, when the continuous need to develop and execute ever larger projects resulted in a change to the form of our organization. Thus, APA Sp. z o.o. employing over 50 engineers was created.
The continuous expansion of our team of specialists and the drive to increase the quality of offered services resulted in a move to our new main office in 2008, and the company still resides there today. The modern building included a sales office, offices, designer workshops, a robotics laboratory, as well as a showroom – a presentation room for the Vision BMS system. Together with our new seat, we also worked dynamically on global markets, gaining contacts in locations such as: USA, Mexico, China, Great Britain, Serbia and many other countries.
2013 was another breakthrough year for us, and the start of work on another main office of the company. It is planned as „the most smart building in Poland” – controlled, of course, by our own system. The quality of solutions used on the site should reflect both the level of research and development work of APA and provide an illustration of an exemplary project execution.
During the following years, we have implemented a continuously expanding range of services related to industrial automation. We have executed several dozens of projects using the BMS system, building business relationships with global technological giants, such as: Philips, Samsung, Canon.
We are trying to operate globally (e.g. the project for Tesla in Palo Alto), whilst thinking locally and be responsible for our direct environment. APA is a member of Silesian Society of Construction Sector Employers (we can influence the economic policy of the region as a society), sponsors the „Skoczek” Chess Club, is a member of Polish Society for Green Construction Sector, aimed at supporting the construction sector in Poland through promotion and implementation of the triple responsibility rule: environmental, social and economic responsibility. We also participate in technological education, cooperating with the Silesian University of Technology and with the Częstochowa University of Technology (negotiations with the Rzeszów University of Technology are underway, the letter of intent has been signed). We have co-created the Smart Industrial Infrastructure Laboratory at the Silesian University of Technology, where the students will be able to learn about the newest BMS solutions.
